A Girl Next Door

I am a half-baked Dream
Or a shapeless river stream

I am a spicy chilly gossip
Or a silent assumed lip

I am a morning, Misty foggy
Or an evening, tired and soggy

I am a thoughtful clever brain
Or a heartbreaking pain

I am a whirling Hightide
Or a kind and calm guide

I am slow moving turtle
Or a to and fro shuttle

I am a cozy warm home
Or a secure, mother womb

I am mystique drama queen
Or a naughty playful teen

I am a dry and cold ice
or that over cooked rice

I am star studded night
Or a cruel witchy fight

I am a naïve and innocent child
Or an imagination gone wild

I am an epitome of patience
Or a plain renaissance

I am a spark a flame afire
Or a soul reaching Higher

I am wound dark and deep
Or a lullaby for you to sleep

I am a smiling shy memory
Or a mysterious old diary

I am a bucket full of tears
Or a heart outgrown her fears

I am gentle soothing touch
Or a never ending grudge
I am a heartiest celebration
Or an oasis in isolation

I am happiness at my best
Or a peaceful lonely rest

I am a wine and dine with friends
Or a rebel, setting trends

I am half heard, half unsaid
Or a book yet to be read

I am all this and much more…
I am every girl next door

Before I reached the last line I kept thinking, "OMG, this is me she is talking about!". ANd truly, V, there can't be a more perfect capture of the girls that we all are, somewhere deep within, even if the world calls us women now.
